Netflix: new video games coming thanks to RocketRide Games

Netflix is looking for its way to enter the world of mobile video games and the partnership with RocketRide Games seems the right way

Netflix has signed a partnership with the Canadian gaming agency RocketRide Games which will help them have more video games in the catalog for mobile devices. Netflix subscribers in numerous regions already have access to a library of mobile titles to play, via the Android and iOS versions of the Netflix app. RocketRide Games is a Montreal-based agency and CEO Louis Rene Auclair stated that:

Everyone at RocketRide Games is extremely proud of this new partnership with Netflix. Having the ability to bring new games to their millions of subscribers is certainly a great opportunity for RocketRide Games and video game studios around the world.

The arrival of many video games on Netflix is heralded!

Among the new video games recently added on Netflix we have Dominoes Cafe e Knittens, which have been on the service since December via RocketRide and now the agency plans to add more titles in the coming months. Netflix mobile games are included as part of the Netflix subscription and do not contain advertising or in-app purchases. Players can access it by opening l’app mobile and looking for the Games tab at the bottom of the screen. This takes them to the new Games page, where they have access to a growing library of titles to download (there are currently twelve games).

In addition to this new partnership, Netflix has also stated that it is in continued expansion in the mobile video game industry, with excellent results thanks to the latest investments. Netflix started investing in the gaming world since last July and in the early stages was still experimenting with the right path, starting with interactive movies (like Black Mirror Bandersnatch). Given the disappointing result, the second attempt was made games on their most famous TV series, like Stranger Things, but again the results weren't enough. Finally, this new partnership seems to be the right direction and we just have to wait for further developments on the next games coming to the catalog.
