Grand Theft Auto 5: release date revealed for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions

Finally Rockstar has revealed the date when the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S version of Grand Theft Auto 5 will arrive

Rockstar Games has finally confirmed the date it will arrive the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S version of Grand Theft Auto 5. This will arrive on next generation consoles next 15 March together with also Grand Theft Auto Online. The news in this version will be many, including new graphics modes and support for the most current technologies, as well as improved loading times. GTA 5 was originally released in 2013 even two generations of consoles ago: in fact the first version arrived on PS3 and Xbox 360 and only later on the other consoles. With this new version GTA 5 officially lives on three different generations of consoles.

The new version of GTA 5, coming on March 15th on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, as announced today by Rockstar Games, will have a number of important improvements. The game will support a 4K resolution and 6o FPS, ray tracing, HDR and upgraded textures. Gamers will also be able to enjoy much faster uploads, 3D audio and al haptic feedback of DualSense. The progress of the story and the online component will be transferred from the old consoles so you don't have to start from scratch.

Also Grand Theft Auto Online will have several improvements. For example, you can skip the Story Mode prologue entirely to play online immediately, there will then be a new tutorial and a Career builder which will allow you to immediately choose a profession among the 4 available: Executive, Gunrunner, Nightclub Owner and Biker. Players will also receive a lot of cash right away, along with weapons and a high-end vehicle. Those who return to play in this new version will be able to reset their character to take advantage of the Career Builder. There will then be the opportunity to do vehicle upgrades. The PS5 version of GTA Online will be standalone and free for the first three months after launch.





The news also comes together with theofficial announcement that Rockstar is working on the next chapter of the GTA saga, in fact Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in development.
