For this reason, in recent days, Apple - like Microsoft - has revised down the sales estimates for the current quarter. According to reports from Reuters, LG Innoteck, which supplies photo modules for Apple's smartphones, has temporarily closed its Gumi plant in South Korea after one of the employees tested positive for COVID-19.
Kuo also reported that Genius Electronic Optical, a supplier of camera lenses, has experienced a sharp drop in shipments over the past month. Furthermore, supplies seem to be dwindling, with the analyst estimating that production will not resume significantly until at least May.
